COVID-19 Highlights a Need for Better Understanding of Antigen Testing
Over the past year GHIG conducted a series of interviews on the potential role for HIV antigen/antibody testing in Africa. During this time, we were also involved in discussions around the role of antigen testing with COVID-19. While discussions may still be ongoing with regards to testing recommendations and use cases, what has become evident is the need to better understand antigen testing as compared to molecular and antibody testing. GHCPD will be hosting a course and webinar 3 March 2021 to discuss antigen testing and explore potential uses for HIV and COVID-19.
