ASLM launches the ASLM Academy – focused on developing a strong laboratory workforce for the continent.
The ASLM Academy’s overall objectives include the following:
- To advance laboratory medicine in Africa by building skilled human resource capacity to address rapidly changing disease control and prevention needs
- To provide timely training for emerging and immediate disease outbreaks
The Call
ASLM is the largest pan-African society for laboratory medicine professionals and one of its major pillars is to strengthen the laboratory workforce in Africa. The ASLM Academy represents the Society’s commitment to promote professional development in laboratory medicine beyond the professional licensure required to initiate practice.
